Lauren is always looking to gain more knowledge and excel in different aspects of design. She loves a good challenge and believes there is always a way to make a space not only functional but beautiful.
About Lauren
Lauren is always up for a new adventure! Whether she’s on a mountain, behind the camera or making a new recipe, Lauren is always getting into something new. Lauren finds great joy in various art forms. Outside of interior design, she is drawn to black and white photography and graffiti murals. She also craves to be out in the sun. If she isn’t on an adventure, you can find her in the water. Lauren loves to swim. She often teaches others to swim during the summer, finding joy in giving back to a sport she loves so much. In her limited free time (as she loves to stay busy) Lauren and her boyfriend enjoy catching up on new shows or sharing a new creative idea they found!
As a child, Lauren was constantly making houses and creating spaces for creatures she drew, that was everything those little creatures could ever want in a home. This passion continued to grow and foster her imagination. Lauren was also infatuated with architecture and continuously looking to learn more about it. By the time she was a junior in high school, she knew her calling was to be an interior designer. From there Lauren graduated a proud Eagle from Eastern Michigan University Magna cum laude. While pursuing her degree, Lauren worked at an internship at Cloth & Kind learning fabrics and textiles. At the same time, she was also a Design Supervisor at Floor & Decor where she gained great experience in kitchen and bath design. Learning from her experience as a first time home buyer, Lauren could see clearly that the kitchen and cabinetry was a big stresser in trying to create a functional home. As she continued to revise her home, it was clear this was a part of design that she was beginning to fall further in love with and wanted to pursue more. Discovering Authentic Kitchen & Design, and learning more about the company, it was clear that this is exactly what she wanted and needed for her next adventure.
